Transport for Wales on behalf of Welsh Government is working with local authorities and bus operators to improve the quality and timeliness of passenger information. Through our bus grant programmes, we require the prompt communication of timetable changes, including online and at bus stops, and support the provision of accurate real-time information wherever available.
The Bus Services (Wales) Act 2026 places duties on operators to provide data to Welsh Ministers, as well as a duty on Welsh Ministers to publish information about the bus network. A consultation exercise will begin imminently on regulations which set out the obligations of operators.
