We are supporting the delivery of Caerphilly interchange creating a modern, fully integrated multimodal hub, connecting rail, bus and active travel. We are providing over £15m over the next three years to Caerphilly for the delivery of this scheme. The improvements will deliver seamless interchange between public transport and active travel modes, alongside improved accessibility and passenger facilities.

Transport for Wales (TfW) is working closely with Caerphilly County Borough Council on the delivery of Caerphilly interchange. As part of the South Wales Metro transformation, TfW has already completed a programme of station upgrades across the Rhymney Line to enhance the customer experience. These works include the installation of new shelters, signage, customer information screens and bike storage hoops.

TfW is also planning to renew existing CCTV cameras across the Core Valley Lines (CVL) over the next two to three years, including at stations on the Rhymney Line.
