Pryd y mae'r Gweinidog Cabinet yn disgwyl i arolwg o gyflwr Ysbyty Athrofaol Cymru gael ei gwblhau gan Fwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Caerdydd a'r Fro, a phryd y bydd Llywodraeth Cymru wedyn yn asesu'r angen i ailadeiladu'r ysbyty?
Cardiff and Vale University Health Board presented the output from its condition survey work at the University Hospital of Wales (UHW) to its Board in early 2026. The findings will now need to be considered by the Health Board as part of its wider planning for the future of the UHW site. Welsh Government officials continue to work with the Health Board as it develops its plans and assesses the options and timescales for any future investment in the site in accordance with its highest estate risks. Any proposals for future investment in NHS infrastructure must be considered within the wider context of the £1.4bn estate maintenance backlog inherited from the previous Welsh Government, and that decisions made by the current UK Government will result in an estimated 9% real terms contraction in Wales’ capital budget over the course of this Senedd term.
