Services for people with long Covid are provided through the Adferiad (Recovery) Programme, launched in 2021. Welsh Government provided £5 million per year of non-recurrent funding from 2021 to 2023. In 2023, this became recurrent funding and increased to £8 million to support the continued development of services and wider access for people with other post-infection associated chronic illnesses, including Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), and those with similar persistent physical symptoms without a diagnostic label.
