The Welsh Government recognises the creative industries as a key driver of growth, innovation and opportunity in the Welsh economy. We are pleased to see the UK Government’s focus on the creative industries in its industrial strategy through the Creative Industries Sector Plan. However, further action is needed to ensure the benefits of this strategy are being fully realised in Wales. We will therefore be working with the UK Government to reset the relationship to ensure this strategy meets the needs of the sector in Wales and is delivered in line with the devolution settlement.
