The Welsh Government is progressing work on the national energy strategy as a priority in the 100-day plan. I will be using evidence that already exists where relevant including building on the renewable energy sector deal. As part of this strategy, the Welsh Government will consider the outputs of the Strategic Spatial Energy Plan prepared by NESO, which is expected later this summer. From this I will decide what further work might be required.
Detailed cost estimates will accompany the strategy, including any new measures to ensure we achieve a greater level of community ownership of new renewable energy projects in Wales. (Saesneg yn unig)
