A wnaiff yr Ysgrifennydd Cabinet roi'r wybodaeth ddiweddaraf am gynllun gwella cyffordd Moat Lane yng Nghaersws, gan gynnwys y cynnydd a'r bont droed ar wahân?
The Welsh Government continues to progress the A470/A489 Moat Lane junction improvement study in accordance with the Welsh Transport Appraisal Guidance (WelTAG). Engagement with Network Rail, Natural Resources Wales and Powys County Council is ongoing to inform a shortlist of safety‑focused options at the junction, the rail crossing and the approaches to the river bridge. A public consultation on the shortlisted options is planned during 2026, subject to programme confirmation.
Powys County Council is the lead authority for the stand‑alone pedestrian footbridge at Caersws. The Council is responsible for developing and delivering the scheme, supported by Levelling Up Fund investment available until 2028/29. Welsh Government officials will continue to liaise with Powys County Council and the North and Mid Wales Trunk Road Agent where the Council’s proposals overlap with Strategic Road Network activity at Moat Lane, to ensure awareness and alignment across the two schemes.
