The Welsh Government commissioned the Trees and Timber Deep Dive in 2021 to help identify the barriers to tree planting. A number of actions from this report have already been implemented, however, we recognise there is more to do. We have had further meetings with NRW and other stakeholders about how to build on this work so that it becomes easier for people to plant trees.
We will continue to use evidence and stakeholder feedback to identify and agree priority areas for action in 2026 with the Trees and Hedges Stakeholder Delivery Group who will help us oversee and monitor progress with this work. (Saesneg yn unig)
