A wnaiff yr Ysgrifennydd Cabinet egluro sut y cyfrifwyd y ffigur a ddyfynnwyd gan y Prif Weinidog ar y pryd, a oedd yn honni y byddai’r polisi 20mya yn arbed £92 miliwn i'r GIG bob blwyddyn drwy sicrhau bod y gwasanaethau brys yn ymdrin â miloedd yn llai o anafiadau ar BBC Radio Wales ar 7 Medi 2023?
Research undertaken by public health practitioners and Edinburgh Napier University suggests that the estimated reduction in casualties each year from the introduction of the 20mph default speed limit in Wales, could provide around £92m in prevention savings. This includes, but is not limited to, reduced impact on the NHS and emergency services. Other savings included are due to lost output (including future lost earnings), medical and ambulance costs and human costs.
