Increasing the number of social homes across the whole of Wales continues to be a priority for this Government. This commitment is underpinned by record levels of funding for social housing of over £1.4billion so far, this Senedd term.

Pembrokeshire as a developing Local Authority is accessing Social Housing Grant funding towards developing its own schemes as well as working with its RSL partners. The Local Authority have fully allocated their budget of £14.4m for this financial year. Also, over the past 2 years the Local Authority has spent their budget allocation in full as well as receiving additional funding, therefore contributing to the increase of affordable housing scheme developments.

Through the Transitional Accommodation Capital Programme (TACP) we have provided over £5.8m for Pembrokeshire since the start of the programme, which has helped deliver 91 additional homes, including 23 homes brought back into use. Pembrokeshire has received a further allocation of £4.4m this year to bring forward additional homes for individuals in housing need and reduce pressures on temporary accommodation.
