We have supported the provision of cycle parking facilities at destinations across the active travel networks through the Welsh Government’s Active Travel Fund. Schemes have been funded through both the core element of the Fund, for example where an authority wants to improve cycle parking provision across a whole centre, or at its education facilities, and also as an integral part of wider schemes, complementing a new or improved route. Transport for Wales is undertaking work on providing short and long term secure cycle parking in cycle hangars at key locations, including railway stations, and in collaboration with housing associations for their tenants.
