I am unaware of any such overseas training events being funded by health boards and Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) has no information in relation to doctors in postgraduate training attending overseas events.
HEIW does provide study leave funds to health boards to support the learning needs and development of doctors in postgraduate training programmes. The individual study leave allowance varies according to grade/seniority up to £600 per annum for senior doctors in training.
