Welsh Government support for the arts is channelled through the Arts Council of Wales (ACW) who operate at arm’s length from government.
My predecessor recently met with WNO to understand the complex position the organisation is in. We are currently in the process of convening a meeting of all interested parties, including key funders, to develop a way forward.
The Welsh Government is fully supportive of WNO’s work and we will do everything we can to ensure it continues to be one of Wales’ most prestigious arts organisations.
