The Welsh Government supports businesses to reduce and navigate red tape, including though our Business Wales service.

The Welsh Government has sought to provide stability and predictability to the regulatory framework for businesses in Wales following our exit from the EU and the assimilation of EU law into our statute book. Assimilated law includes essential economic, environmental and social protections and we have not sought to make changes to that body of law for changes sake.

We look forward to working closely with the UK Government to support a pro-business environment across Wales, including through a regulatory framework which promotes innovation, investment, and high-quality jobs.

Along with all other parts of the UK, the Welsh Government upholds good regulatory practice to meet our international obligations and ensure positive conditions for businesses to trade internationally.
