The operation of the courts, including use of the single justice procedure, is not devolved to Wales and remains the responsibility of the UK Government.
The Welsh Government has had previous correspondence and discussions with the UK Government on the circumstances in which the single justice procedure is appropriate and how it operates, and it is a matter we will continue to raise alongside a range of other issues relating to the reserved justice system.
