Our Carers Support Fund has been running since 2020 and provides unpaid carers on low incomes with grants to buy essential items. We appreciate the significant value of this scheme to unpaid carers who we know are more likely to be living in low-income households. The current funding arrangement is providing £4.5 million over three years and extends to March 2025.
We do not have an agreed budget beyond this financial year and consequently I cannot make a commitment ahead of the budget setting process this autumn. This fund is managed on our behalf by Carers Trust Wales and we will be updating grant-funded organisations at the earliest point possible.
