Welsh Government funding for the Arts is channelled through the Arts Council of Wales (ACW) who operate at arm’s length from Government although within the strategic framework that we provide.
Through both Welsh Government and National Lottery funding, ACW supports a number of organisations who undertake community focussed arts activity, including theatre and music. From 1 April 2024, £2,326,954 of its multi-year funding offer is going directly to Community Arts, although many of ACW’s other core-funded organisations also include community arts in their work.
