We work in social partnership to promote inclusive working environments where women, and indeed all workers, can work free from the fear of bullying, harassment and discrimination.

Our Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (VAWDASV) 2022-26 strategy highlights the importance of public sector leadership to tackle gender-based violence and abuse, including in workplaces. We work with a range of partners in delivering the strategy, including Wales TUC, Public Health Wales and frontline services such as the Police, the NHS and Fire and Rescue Services.  To secure delivery, we have established a series of workstreams, one of which is focussed on workplace harassment.

In support of this and in collaboration with our partners, Workplace Harassment Conferences targeted at Public Sector Leaders will take place.  The first conference will be held in Cardiff in September, with others to follow in Mid and North Wales.  The conferences will promote and encourage employers to take practical action to prevent workplace sexual harassment.  I will be encouraging Public Sector Leaders to attend these important collaborative events.
