I am committed to taking forward subordinate legislation restricting the placement and price promotions of products high in fat salt, sugar and salt in retailers with over 50 staff members and it is my intention to consult on my approach shortly. Subject to the Senedd’s approval, I intend to lay these regulations before the end of 2024, with a 12-month implementation window for impacted businesses and enforcement bodies.
