We are in the early stages of reviewing a range of permitted development rights including those relating to heat pumps to help promote widespread take up of the technology. A provisional timetable setting out when changes could come into effect is under consideration.
The Welsh Government’s research, and ongoing UK Government work into Air Source Heat Pumps, will inform any future changes to permitted development rights in Wales.
