The total cost of the work around the structure of the school year is approx. £350,000 (including VAT). This included the Consultation on the School Year itself (approx. £150,000) and two other pieces of commissioned engagement work and commissioned research (approx. £100,000 respectively) with the latter building on the recommendations of the former. This work was carried out across two financial years.
