The Welsh Government consulted on a proposal to end the sale of high-caffeine energy drinks to children in 2022. Since the consultation, my officials have been regularly engaging with academics and subject matter experts to review emerging evidence in relation to this proposal. I remain committed to taking evidence-based action to improve the health of our food environments and will set out my next steps on this potential policy in due course.
