Further to recommendations made by the Senedd Local Government and Housing Committee enquiry into community assets, a Community Asset Commission was established in March 2024. The commission is tasked with stimulating innovative thinking on community ownership of land and assets in Wales. As part of this work, current challenges, and barriers to land ownership by community groups will be explored.
