To support recruitment, Health Education and Improvement Wales has put together an enhanced offer which aims to encourage dentists to complete their foundation year in dental practices in rural Wales. In addition to a £5,000 salary uplift, increasing to £7,000 for September 2024, dentists taking up the offer will also be provided with enhanced academic and wellbeing support for the duration of the programme. The 10 places offered in September 2023 were filled.
