Welsh Government funding for the Arts is channelled through the Arts Council of Wales (ACW) who operate at arm’s length from Government although within the strategic framework that we provide.
ACW has a number of organisations in receipt of multi-year funding who undertake community focussed arts activity, including theatre and music. With effect from 1 April 2024, £2,326,954 of its multi-year funding offer will go directly to Community Arts, although many of ACW’s other core-funded organisations also include community arts in their work. ACW also supports many similar projects through lottery funding.
