Creative Wales has funded 3 rounds of Development Funding since its inception, targeting the games industry. Within the eligibility criteria of this fund there is a requirement to consider diversity in the applicant business, including gender balance. Many Welsh based video games developers currently employ female developers and welcome applications from female developers for open vacancies.
Creative Wales has funded skills projects such as Game Developer Foundry - a nine-month programme supporting underrepresented groups, encouraging them to consider a career in games and providing basic skills to enable them to progress through further education or to gain entry level positions.
