The Senedd provided a clear mandate for the government to deliver the recommendations of the Special Purpose Committee (SPC) in time for the next Senedd election in 2026.
The budget for the Senedd reform programme covers the costs of all staff involved in the project and costs relating to legal services are not accounted for separately. In 2023-24 the budget allocation for the programme was £2.2m.
This work is being carried out in collaboration with Rhun ap Iorwerth MS, leader of Plaid Cymru, as part of the Co-operation Agreement between the Welsh Government and Plaid Cymru.
