I met Andrew Bowie, Minister for Nuclear and Networks in January 2024. During this meeting, the Minister raised the possibility of a future announcement regarding Wylfa. He indicated at that time that talks with Hitachi had commenced regarding the acquisition of the Wylfa site.
However, the UK Government did not share any subsequent detail in advance of the announcement last week.
