In November 2022 we published the Neurological Conditions Quality Statement and I expect all NHS organisations in Wales to use the Quality Statement as the basis for planning how services for people with neurological conditions are developed and delivered, including those experiencing headache disorders, such as migraine.
NHS organisation plans are based on population needs analysis as part of the statutory planning process. This analysis should inform any public awareness and education activity they consider necessary. I would also expect NHS organisations to work collectively, and with key partners and stakeholder, when a broader population approach is required.
Welsh Government works closely with communication leads within NHS organisations and considers any requests to support national awareness and education activity through these discussions.
