The Welsh Government commissioned the Welsh Vascular Network, within the NHS Executive, to undertake an assurance review of the vascular service in North Wales.
The assessment and final report were received in November 2023 and the National Vascular Clinical Lead has provided advice to the health board with regard to the improvement in its services. The assessment and final report concluded the vascular service has improved from that described in the previous RCS reviews.
Further work is ongoing to assess the vascular service and a case notes review is being undertaken at present. This will report later this year.
