The Centre for Cities report shows an increasing share of child poverty is seen among in-work households in all cities besides those in the East of England between 2014-2021. Analysis by organisations such as the Equality and Human Rights Commission shows that the UK Government’s welfare reforms since 2010 and increasing housing costs have had a significant impact on levels of child poverty amongst working households.
