Welsh Government superfast broadband roll-outs have provided fast and reliable broadband to 777,000 residential and business premises. Some of these premises were provided with fibre to the premises technology including 44,000 in our latest roll-out which was completed last year. This equates to around 47 per cent of premises in Wales.
Information about the overall percentage of residential properties now able to receive superfast broadband and fibre to the premises in Wales is available in the Ofcom Connected Nations report. This shows that superfast broadband is available to 96 per cent of residential premises and full fibre is now available to 55 per cent, or 798,000, residential premises. Ofcom do not provide figures on business premises in their connected nations report.
