The Deep End Wales Project is being led and delivered by the Royal College of General Practitioners Wales (RCGP Wales). It advises that, in November 2022, 100 practices in the most deprived communities in Wales were contacted to engage with the project; 93 of which were invited multiple times as a means to stimulate engagement.
Other actions undertaken by RCGP to promote engagement include an electronic survey – the 100 practices were invited to complete it to gain a deeper understanding of any difficulties hindering engagement with the project.
The decision to engage or not to engage with the project is a matter for individual practices. RCGP reports 79 GP practices have engaged with the project to date.
