The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership does not record the geographical source of goods purchased. The Partnership encourages bids from small local businesses by splitting contracts into small lots, and for small geographical areas such as a single health board rather than all-Wales. Its criteria for awarding contracts include the percentage of contract value retained in Wales, maximum response times, and supply chain resilience.
