The Welsh Government continues to support developers through the Help to Buy Wales scheme, which provides a shared equity loan to potential homeowners who need financial assistance to achieve home ownership. As at the end of September 2023, 55 developers were registered with the scheme and 13,871 homes had been delivered, since 2014.
We are also supporting SME housebuilders to provide the homes Wales needs through the Property Development and Wales Stalled Sites Funds, providing more than £115 million for these funds since their inception. These schemes have supported 109 developers to deliver 136 housing developments, seeing an overall investment of £190.089m as funding is recycled as it is repaid. Through the schemes, 1,537 homes have been delivered across Wales.
