The Welsh Government commissioned an independent process and impact evaluation of the Wales Cultural Recovery Fund (CRF), which provided support for cultural and creative organisations, including music businesses, during the pandemic. The evaluation report is available on the Welsh Government website - Evaluation of the Wales Cultural Recovery Fund: 2020 to 2021 (summary) | GOV.WALES. Cultural Recovery Fund (CRF) was distributed to the Creative sector as a whole but it was absolutely crucial to the music sector. Across three calls the industry benefitted from a total of c£8m, distributed to music venues, recording studios and rehearsal spaces (and in CRF 2&3 the supply chain businesses). Ultimately the support ensured those facilities remained in existence and available for artists of all types and genres to engage with.
