Hydrogen fuel is likely to become an essential ingredient of the energy mix for decarbonising Wales in the future and presents an opportunity for economic growth in Wales. The UK Government have developed a subsidy mechanism to help develop this market over the coming years. Early production projects across Wales, such as the Holyhead Hydrogen Hub, Hynet, Protium and Hybont are being facilitated by my officials.
