Our Programme for Government, as part of the co-operation agreement with Plaid Cymru, sets out our commitment to publish a White Paper this Senedd term, to include proposals for a right to adequate housing including fair rents and new approaches to making homes affordable for those on local incomes.
We undertook a Green Paper Consultation ‘Call for Evidence on securing a path towards Adequate Housing, including Fair Rents and Affordability’ over the Summer, and officials are now analysing responses from over 370 respondents, which will provide evidence to inform the next steps.
