We want our farmed animals to have a good quality of life. The Animal Welfare Committee was asked to consider the welfare of farmed fish at the time of killing, having previously made recommendations to governments in 2014. We will now work with our counterparts in Defra and the Scottish Government to carefully consider the latest recommendations by the Committee.
