Welsh Government provides direct funding to support collaboration between academic institutions and businesses in Wales through its Flexible Innovation Support. Funding also flows via HEFCW (CTER) for the Research Wales Innovation Fund. Funds can be used for RD&I activity, knowledge transfer and in the pursuit of larger funding streams.
