In light of rising concerns of vaping among children and young people and the impact this is having on schools, the Welsh Government asked Public Health Wales to develop guidance for secondary schools. The guidance, Information and Guidance on Vaping for Secondary-aged learners in Wales was published on 20 September and aims to help learners understand the impact of vaping on their health and well-being, to provide evidence-based information for teachers and provides information on ways to embed teaching and learning on vaping into the new Curriculum for Wales. The guidance also includes information on ways schools can respond to vape use in their setting and how to support young people who may be nicotine dependent and wish to stop.
