The UK Government’s Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) is responsible for driving tests. The DVSA has confirmed to us that each driving test candidate is expected to comply with speed limits throughout their test which is undertaken on a variety of roads with different speeds. Candidates in Wales are reminded of the speed limit changes before their tests. The DVSA will continue to monitor the test and impacts of the new 20mph default speed limit.
