Ar faint o adeiladau GIG Cymru y mae concrit RAAD wedi effeithio?
To date extensive RAAC has been identified at two acute hospitals in Wales. These are Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire and Nevill Hall Hospital in Abergavenny. Smaller areas of RAAC have also been found in a remote plant room at Bronglais hospital where access is restricted to trained staff and not open to the public and a canteen at Bryn y Neuadd hospital, Llanfairfechan, which was decommissioned on 4 January 2022.
NHS Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) have also identified two of their leased properties with RAAC, both of which they are vacating.
Enhanced assurance reports about RAAC survey work undertaken across the NHS Wales estate are currently being collected and reviewed. We do not anticipate these will need to be changed or repeated following the recent UK Government Department for Education risk assessment, subject to the Institute of Structural Engineers’ guidance not changing.
