The Welsh Government have commissioned Children in Wales to create resources and training to support practitioners to embed awareness and cascade information to children and young people. An advisory group representing organisations and professionals from multi-agency backgrounds has been supporting this work.

Children in Wales have also engaged with children and young people across a range of ages and backgrounds through the establishment of young advisory groups. This has provided opportunities to discuss the change in law and co-produce resources to support communication and awareness raising with children and young people.

Furthermore, the Welsh Government has taken forward an extensive, nationwide communication and engagement campaign including TV, Radio and social media adverts to make sure as many people as possible are aware of the change in law. Our website includes a range of information for members of the public, professionals working with and on behalf of children and young people and parents and carers.
