The Wales National Workforce Reporting System has been developed to provide a secure web-based tool to capture all practice staff information.
For the General Practice workforce, data is available quarterly from 31 December 2020 with the latest data for 30 September 2022. The extract for December 2022 will be made available in due course following rigorous validation procedures.
Work to expand the reporting system to include Community Pharmacy, Dentistry and the Ophthalmic sector has commenced.
Historical annual data for Dentistry is available up to 2021/22 on StatsWales.
General practice workforce data for years before the introduction of WNWRS is also available General practice workforce | GOV.WALES. Data for 2019 is not available as a transition year.
