Since 2019, the Welsh Government has awarded £6.7m capital funding to the Urdd Gobaith Cymru to upgrade and enhance facilities available to children and young people at Llangrannog, Pentre Ifan and Glan Llyn. The capital funding has been used to improve residential accommodation, dining facilities and create spaces to support wellbeing.

I also recently announced £40m capital funding across 2023-24 and 2024-25 to invest in practical infrastructure to create Community Focused Schools. Local authorities across Wales have submitted applications for funding, which include investment in youth facilities.

Alongside this capital investment, over £12.6m revenue funding has already been allocated to local authorities and voluntary organisations to support the delivery of youth work provision in 2023‑24.
