The Careers Wales Brighter Futures strategy, takes forward Careers Wales' innovative digital ambitions and outlines a clear, golden thread of support throughout a child’s learning and into adulthood, providing a continuum of support at critical transition points.
The all-age offer recognises that not all people progress in the same way, nor do they face the same challenges. The aim of the service is to be there for people at those key moments when they need professional, impartial careers guidance and coaching.
A copy of the Careers Wales 2021-22 annual report, which shows achievements against its key performance indicators identified in the Brighter Futures Strategy can be found here. The 2022-23 annual report will be published in early autumn 2023.
Every college in Wales has an enhanced Employment and Enterprise Bureau, which provides a breadth of employment support and opportunities to streamline the transition from learning to working. This includes careers fairs, tailored work experience opportunities according to the needs of the learner, supportive internships, mentoring support and employer engagement sessions.
