Prescription delivery services do not form part of the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework. Therefore, the decision as to whether or not to offer a prescription delivery service is a commercial one made by individual pharmacies. Many pharmacies in Wales offer delivery services free of charge and prioritise people who have no other means of collecting their medicines from the pharmacy. All community pharmacies are obliged by equalities legislation to make reasonable adjustments to ensure persons with disabilities can access their services, in some circumstance this could include prescription deliveries.
