We do not have a policy of rent controls.
In taking forward the development of the Green Paper seeking evidence around rents to inform potential proposals for our future White Paper on Fair Rents and a Right to Adequate Housing, we have established a stakeholder advisory group. The Welsh Local Government Association is member of this group.
This work is being carried out in collaboration with Sian Gwenllian, the Plaid Cymru designated member as part of the Co-operation Agreement between the Welsh Government and Plaid Cymru.
