It is our intention to consult on amendments to the Building Regulations to introduce a minimum requirement for electric vehicle chargepoints in new buildings with associated car parking spaces. If proposals were introduced in line with our Electric Vehicle Charging Strategy, then the Building Control Body would enforce the minimum requirements.
